Seasonal School, the new catalogue for the academic year 2024/25 includes 26 one-week intensive courses in Pisa, promoted by the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, and aimed at talented students from all over the world

There are 26 Seasonal Schools promoted by the Scuola Sant'Anna for the academic year 2024/25, i.e. one-week intensive and supplementary courses with an interdisciplinary and innovative character, open to talented students from all over the world. The topics of the Seasonal Schools are dedicated to the social, economic and innovation challenges of the future, in line with the development goals of the 2030 Agenda. Building on the four-year 2020-2024 experience, which saw the participation of more than 700 male and female students, around 30% of whom were foreigners, the 2024/25 offering is being expanded with new content.
From the gender gap to biodiversity, from undersea robots to space biology, from simulation in the medical field toinnovation in services, passing through the challenges facing theEuropean Union, thecircular economy, water resource management, data science andartificial intelligence, to name but a few of the many topics covered during the courses. Who can participate in the Seasonal Schools

Students attending three-year, master's, single-cycle and PhD degree courses at Italian and foreign universities may apply, provided that they meet the same merit requirements as Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna students, including a grade point average of no less than 27/30. At the end of each Seasonal School, CFUs and acertificate of attendance are awarded. Each Seasonal School has its own call for applications containing all the information on how to participate and admission requirements.
The courses provide an opportunity to come into contact not only with lecturers but also with talented students, to experience the Scuola Sant'Anna campus and to explore study and research topics in a highly innovative and stimulating environment.

Enrolment fees include room and board and there are important reductions based onISEE, as well as reductions of at least 10% for those arriving from institutional bodies and universities that are consortium partners with the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, including the University of Catania, University of Tuscia, University of Trento, Onaosi Foundation, University of Messina, University of Camerino, University of Calabria, Conference of University Colleges of Merit, University of Palermo, University of Valle D'Aosta, Free University of Bolzano, Polytechnic University of Marche, Scuola Galileiana di Studi Superiori, University of Siena, University of Florence and University of Pisa.
There are also merit prizes for each course of 450 euros financed by the Foundation Fondazione Il Talento all'Opera entefilantropico’ and the ‘EY Foundation Ente Filantropico T.S.’ that will be awarded to the best performers.

The Seasonal Schools for which applications can already be submitted are the following: ‘ESEAS - Exploring sea and space: technologies, opportunities and challenges’ (deadline 7 August); ‘CROSSROADS - The EU under siege. Politics, Law and Institutional Reform After the 2024 elections (deadline 1 September); “MEDSKILL - Development of MEDICAL SKILLs by Simulation ‘ (deadline 3 September); “CESM - Circular Economy and Sustainability Management‘ (deadline 8 September); “WAT-CHANGE - Water-related ecosystem services for adapting societies to climate change’ (deadline 8 September).
